This is Sam how I love him best: broken, but stronger than anyone else. And I always loved fics in which Cas and Sam were closer, so really, this is a pretty self-indulgent fic. (If we ignore the fact that my favourite character hardly ever appears.)
Dean didn't rape Sam, by the way, but I understand that the way I handled that scene made it easy to misinterpret. But when Dean was certain afterwards that the memory was fake, he was actually right.
I'll post a timestamp from Michael's pov sometime during the break that will clear things up a little more.
